I was always more of a Warner Bros fan than a Disney fan, although I do remember Pluto was my favourite and I was always disappointed he didn't get more screentime.
Anyway, I decided to whip up some fanart tonight of this trio!

The Zit Remedy

There's been some great Canadian artists of our times. A few that spring to mind are Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, The Zit Remedy... Well, two out of three ain't bad anyway.
I was actully sad to read about the recent passing of Neil Hope who played Wheels on one of my favourite TV shows Degrassi High, so I wanted to do a drawing of his band, the one hit wonder,The Zit Remedy, complete with his pals Joey Jeremiah and Snake.

Garfield and Odie

For some reason of late there's been a hate campaign against Garfield, not sure why as it was good for it's time. Although admittedly I no longer read it as an adult like I do Peanuts, which I've appreciated more and more as I've got older. Still, he's a fun character & I thought I'd do a quick scribble of him and Odie while I finished watching a movie last night.

French Pug

I recently patted a Pug Dog in a petshop that a bogan and her boyfriend were cuddling. After asking her if she was buying it ("can't afford it mate") I then told her if I was to have a dog I'd choose between a pug and a French Bulldog.
Her sweaty forehead sprung upwards with that information & she said ("Oh my god-we have the same taste in dogs!")
So, long story short-here is my favourite-if bogan taste-kind of dog.

Athena

This is an illustration based on a friend's story via Facebook about an embarrassing moment when her dress flew over her head while at work recently.
This was also a good excuse to practise drawing women and colouring in copic markers. Both of which I probably don't do enough of.

Tissue Nose

Whenever I get a head cold, you're bound to find me mumbling away in my tranny voice, watching some trashy TV show with a tissue stuffed up my nose.

I think Louis secretly likes it.

Behop and Rocksteady

What's a superhero without an enemy? Not much and pretty boring it seems. So I decided to draw up the colourful Behop and Rocksteady-the flamboyant and bumbling duo who tried to sabotage much of the Turtle's adventures.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I used to be obsessed with the Ninja Turtles. I thought I was pretty cool walking around in 1990 wearing my Michaelangelo watch and browsing through my Nina Turtles bubblegum cards-if only I had known better!
Still, looking back it was a fun show and I had lots of fun drawing this for this week's theme at The Bear and the Buffalo.
