Kill Bill

My contribution to Quentin Tarantino week over at the Bear & the Buffalo. I loved Lucy Liu and her team of schoolgirl bodyguards in Kill Bill and her fight off with The Bride at the end of #1 would be my favourite scene from the film. Brilliant.

Crocodile Summer

I had to draw something which included protruding belly buttons. That itch has now been scratched.

My Friend Doris

As I drew this Molly and her plastic teaspoon earrings from A Country Practise kept popping into my mind, so in honour of that I am naming this pig Doris, after her pig in the show. Fatso the wombat could (probably not) be next ; )

Blackberry Stone

A quick drawing of Laura Marling after I saw her singing Blackberry Stone on Youtube. With her badly dyed hair, criss crossed legs & ballet slippers you wouldn't think that the powerful voice & lyrics belong to the same person.

Louis Attack

I bought Louis a scratchpost recently since he seems intent on destroying my couch & bed with his claws. Of course, he hasn't used it once, expect to play with a little toy mouse that came with the thing which he bats back & forth with a dopey expression. Glad I paid $25 for that little enjoyment.

Uh Huh Her

Recently in the news Leisha Hailey and her partner and bandmate Camila Grey were told to stop kissing each other on Southwest Airlines as they were told it was a 'family airline' and that they had had complaints from fellow passengers. Good grief.
Hard to believe such incidences are still happening in 2011 and that people are still holding this ignorant view.
Anyway, I'm not very good with articulating myself in words at the best of times so I've let my pen did the talking instead : )

Rowlf

Rowlf was always my favourite character on The Muppets. He somehow seemed a bit more lowkey than the other lot, which was obviously my style. I even got a Muppet Baby Rowlf toy for my 6th Birthday present after alot of begging & possible guilt tripping to my mum.
